Ziyang Anyue: Lemon industry "hard core strength" to attract Uzbek merchants

On April 13, a delegation of Uzbek lemon enterprises visited Anyue County, Ziyang, Sichuan Province, to investigate the county's lemon industry. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on lemon planting and processing and actively explored cooperation potential.

Anyue lemon has a hundred years of planting history, unique geographical advantages and time-honored planting skills make Anyue become "the hometown of lemon in China". As one of the world's five main lemon production areas, the country's only lemon commodity production base county, Anyue currently lemon preservation area of 480,000 mu, annual output of about 600,000 tons, production, scale accounted for more than 70% of the country, the national market share of more than 80%. The lemon industry in Anyue County has strong competitiveness and influence. In 2024, the supervised export value of Anyue lemon is 480 million yuan, accounting for about 46% of the total export of lemons in the country, ranking first in the country. Lemon self-operated export value reached 180 million yuan, an increase of 102%, Anyue lemon has become an important growth momentum to promote "Ziyang Made" self-operated products to the sea.

Planting fertile soil to stimulate the vitality of the lemon industry, Anyue is constantly deepening the opening and cooperation in all fields. On April 14, at the Anyue Baosen Lemon Exhibition Hall, the management committee of Modern Agriculture Industrial Park of Anyue County introduced the development process of Anyue lemon, and displayed 17 lemon main varieties and 25 lemon main varieties in the world. Afterwards, the two sides visited the lemon Science and Technology Demonstration Park, lemon processing and trading enterprises. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on lemon production, processing, storage and other aspects, and jointly discussed the future development of lemons, which benefited each other a lot.

On April 15, a symposium was held at Ximei Hotel in Anyue County. The agenda includes the introduction of Anyue County situation and development, and the Anyue City promotional video and Anyue Lemon promotional video are played on the spot, so that foreign friends have a clearer understanding of the advantageous industries in Anyue County. At the meeting, both sides actively exchanged experience and chatted happily.
