The wheat harvest site in Neijiang, Sichuan is too hot!

On May 7th, the wheat fields in Long'an Village, Shizi Town, Dongxing District, Neijiang City were bustling with activity. Golden wheat ears swayed in the wind, and agricultural technicians drove harvesters back and forth in the golden waves of wheat. Harvesting, threshing, loading and other operations proceeded in an orderly manner, outlining a joyful harvest painting.

This year, the cooperative planted more than 2000 acres of wheat, and today organized three combine harvesters to operate simultaneously, greatly improving harvesting efficiency. It is expected that the wheat yield per acre this year can reach 800 pounds. Compared with traditional manual harvesting, mechanized operation is not only faster, but also effectively reduces food loss. In recent years, Shizi Town has actively explored the operation mode of"party organization+company+cooperative+base+farmers" based on the construction of a 10000 acre grain and oil park, and vigorously promoted contract agriculture in villages such as Long'an, Qixing, and Taihe. This model not only provides stable sales channels for farmers, but also achieves a win-win goal of increasing grain production and farmers' income through large-scale and standardized planting, further stimulating farmers' enthusiasm for growing grain.

As an important region for grain production, Dongxing District of Neijiang City has always adhered to the bottom line of food security, fully implemented the responsibility of protecting arable land and ensuring regional grain production safety. The district is deeply implementing the strategy of"storing grain in the land and storing grain in technology", promoting the integration of good seeds, good fields, good methods, good opportunities, and good systems.
