‌Chongzhou, You are "Weaving" Brilliance!

The 9th International Festival of the Intangible Cultural Heritage opened on May 28, 2025 in Chengdu, China. Coinciding with the celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival, International Bamboo & Rattan Culture Week, taking national-level intangible cultural heritage (ICH) activities of Daoming Bamboo Weaving and Huaiyuan Rattan Weaving as the themes, will be held in Chongzhou, Sichuan. The activities aim to create a unique cultural and tourism brand for intangible cultural heritage in Chengdu City. Tourists will be invited to explore immersive experiential scenes and discover themed cultural routes dedicated to intangible heritage. International Bamboo & Rattan Culture Week features two main venues, including Daoming Bamboo Art Village‌ and Yanhua Pool-Zhengdong Street Historical Block‌ in the urban area of Chongzhou. 15 themed activities, including ICH performances, scene creations, and intangible cultural heritage-themed parades and markets will be organized. It is expected that more than 40 countries will participate in the ICH Festival, creating ‌multiple dynamic cultural corridors‌ and fostering collaborations with local commercial districts to explore the value transformation of cultural consumption scenarios.
