They will carry out a 5-year deepening cooperation and establish a regular information exchange and project support mechanism.
During the event, both parties held practical city and industry promotion sessions. Gregor Košir highlighted Kočevje City's strengths as an emerging European hub for robotics, a center for advanced wood and chemical industries, and home to the UNESCO World Natural Heritage site-Krokar Primeval Forest. Chongzhou City promoted its development advantages as the core demonstration area of"Tianfu Granary" and a national new industrialization demonstration base, showcasing its strong foundation in industries such as electronic information, aerospace, low-altitude econom and smart home, providing clear guidance for industrial cooperation between enterprises of both sides.

Both sides expressed a shared expectation to leverage the sister-city relationship as a bond to promote precise alignment in key industries, including green building materials, smart home, precision manufacturing, low-altitude economy, and science and technology innovation incubation. Leveraging Chengdu’s role as an international gateway hub and having access to China-Europe Railway Express, Chongzhou will collaborate with international trade promotion institutions such as European Union Chamber of Commerce to facilitate easier access for high-quality European products into Chongzhou, while promoting Chongzhou's electronic information, low-altitude economy, smart home, green building materials and specialty agricultural products to better reach Europe and global markets.
The event featured a special"one-on-one" free negotiation session, where nearly 30 enterprises from both cities engaged in in-depth discussions across sectors such as smart home, green manufacturing, advanced food processing, and low-altitude economy. A DIY interactive experience area integrating intangible cultural heritage elements such as Chongzhou bamboo weaving and Sichuan-style bonsai was also set up on site, creating a favorable atmosphere for corporate communication.
