The 2026 "Shu SHOW Shuangliu" China Squash Tour (Chengdu Leg) Kicked Off
On June 26, the 2026"Shu SHOW Shuangliu" China Squash Tour (Chengdu Leg) & Rongcheng Squash Carnival officially kicked off at Aerotropolis Xingcheng Linjiang Zhiyuan Base in Shuangliu of Chengdu. The event was co-hosted by Professional Squash Association (PSA), Small Ball Sports Management Center of General Administration of Sport of China, and Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Sport. At the venue, 22 standard courts stood ready, fully prepared for the upcoming event.
The China Squash Tour is an officially certified Satellite Event by the PSA, with a prize pool of $1,500 for both the men's and women's divisions. All finishing players will earn globally-recognized PSA World Ranking Points, with a maximum of 30 points. These points will be directly incorporated into the PSA global ranking system, and directly linked to the qualification selection for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, making the event a core platform for the national team's preparation for the Olympics. The event innovatively adopts the dual-track competition model of"Professional Competition + Public Popularization", builds a high-standard squash exchange hub in Southwest China, empowers the high-quality professional development of squash in two dimensions, and promotes the in-depth integration of squash into the national fitness system.
Furthermore, the event simultaneously launches the public section of Rongcheng Squash Carnival, lowering the entry threshold and opening registration to squash enthusiasts aged 9 to 40 with at least half a year of playing experience.
The smooth and successful hosting of the high-standard event is fully backed by the solid, world-class capabilities of the Linjiang Zhiyuan Base.
It is reported that the Base covers a total area of 442.67 mu (approximately 29.51 hectares) and features 22 squash courts that meet the international certification standards of the World Squash Federation. It serves as the long-term designated core training venue for Chinese National Squash Team, boasting top-tier event hosting capabilities that are rare nationwide and unique in Western China.
The Base is equipped with a digital event management system and an intelligent training platform powered by big data analytics and artificial intelligence, providing athletes with professional competition support aligned with international standards. Athlete apartments, customized nutrition restaurant, leisure and fitness area, outdoor ecological trails and other supporting facilities are all readily available, catering to both the recovery after high-intensity training and the lifestyle rhythm of long-term training.
Several contestants and national team coaches stated on-site that this is one of the few high-quality training and competition venues that can support the national team's long-term closed training and continuously host major international events, achieving a rare balance between professionalism and comfort.
Not only in terms of hardware, but also the momentum of event operations is accelerating its accumulation. On June 25, Chinese National Squash Team was officially settled in, marking the official opening of Linjiang Zhiyuan Event and Training Base. Traditional national sports teams including women's basketball and fencing, as well as the national esports training team, have also expressed their intention to conduct regular resident training here.
Meanwhile, a series of high-level events including the China Squash Tour, the World Youth Championships and the Asian Championships will also be settled here successively.
